I’m stressed-out all the time. Which CDs should I get?
|
|
Please read the descriptions of the various CDs on the products page.
Although the common element of all the CDs is relaxation, each CD offers a unique focus, as their title implies.
All the programs help guide you into a state of deep relaxation, and combine affirmations and guided imagery, (using the power of your mind, images and emotions) to promote optimal wellness of mind, body and spirit.
Many of the CDs compliment each other well. For example, Finding the Peaceful Place Within and Deep, Healing Sleep were designed to work well together. (“The choices you make during the day play a big part in how well you sleep at night!”) They combine simple techniques with pleasant, powerful guided journeys.
Also, Relaxation/Affirmation Techniques and Relax - Quick! make a good combination – R/AT containing longer, more in-depth processes you can lie down and be guided through, and RQ! with shorter, methods you can easily learn to plug in on your own when you need them. They reinforce each other nicely, and give good, basic instruction, along with color imagery.
And, of course, if needed, all the physical healing CDs (cancer, surgery, pain and affirmations) can be combined as needed, or can stand alone.
Cancer: Embracing the Healing Journey is a very comprehensive 2 _ hour program, with an informative 24-page booklet. If you can only get one cancer CD, I highly recommend that one.
Healing Affirmations & Harp creates a wonderful healing ambience for home, hospital or treatment or surgical settings, used alone or in conjunctions with other appropriate CDs.
Trust your instincts. Read the descriptions and testimonials, then try the one or ones that feel right to you!

Do these CDs have any religious orientation?
|
|
No! People of many different religious and spiritual beliefs have found these CDs to be inspiring and heart-opening, as they blend simple powerful techniques with the incomparable healing power of Love.
As I explain in the Cancer: Embracing the Healing Journey introduction, I believe there is an intelligent, loving Presence that permeates all creation. It’s this Presence, this infinite source that miraculously keeps the mechanisms of the human body functioning – including keeping the heart beating, the breath flowing, the fingernails growing – to name just a few of the mind-boggling physical functions that occur day in and day out, without our conscious control.
Whether you call this source “God”, “Spirit”, “Christ”, “Higher Intelligence”, “Mother Nature”, “Krishna”, “Allah”, or whatever, most of us can agree there’s some Higher Awareness holding things together a whole lot better than we could!
On many of the CDs, I use the greeting “Namaste”, which means, “I bow to you” or “I salute your Divine Nature.” In Christian terms, you might say, “I behold the Christ in you”.
To me, “Namaste” embraces and transcends personal and religious differences, and is a way of recognizing that we’re all in this together, united in a higher Love.

I can’t get my mind to slow down when it’s time for sleep. Will any of these CDs help?
|
|
Yes! Any of them will help…..many people say they never hear the end of my CDs, because they drift into a deep sleep every time…but Deep, Healing Sleep, aside from guiding you into that deep sleep state, also teaches you skills and practices that will help you learn to slow your mind and induce a tranquil state of being, whether awake or asleep!

What do you mean by “Embracing the Healing Journey”? How can I embrace cancer?!
|
|
As I address in the introduction to CEHJ, the journey through cancer is unique to each of us who travels it. Each of our learning is exquisitely our own, and each person’s healing journey offers a very precious gift.
With your diagnosis comes the opportunity for growth, learning and healing, on all levels of your being. It’s important to note that there can be a profound distinction between healing and curing.
“To heal” has been defined as “to set right, to make whole”; “to cure”, is defined as “to recover from a disease.” While you focus on curing, or “recovering from your disease”, it’s important to remember that the healing, the “making whole” that you experience on emotional, mental and spiritual levels may be at least as valuable as the desired cure.
On these CDs, I help you learn to embrace all the emotions and experiences, by letting go of resistance, anger, fear, and any other normal emotions that often accompany a serious illness. In so doing, you create the most optimal healing environment, on all levels of your being.
When asked about my own cancer experience, my usual reply is, “I would not ever like to repeat that chapter, thank-you, but - it was one of the richest experiences of my life, for which I am deeply, deeply grateful.” I trust you will echo my words, when looking back on your own experience.
